Shipping

What shipping methods are available?

We suggest our free ground shipping because it's the friendliest to the environment and it's free. If you can't wait, we get it. In that case you can choose our 1-day shipping for $32.50 or 2-day shipping for $20 as long as orders are placed by noon the day before you want it. All shipping charges will be added to your online cart during checkout.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yep. We offer free shipping for orders over $95 and Free Returns. We use regular ground shipping for orders that qualify because we want to take it easy on the environment.

How do I track my order?

After placing your order you will receive an email confirming the order. Your order's tracking number can be found at the bottom of the email. You can enter that into the FedEx Tracker

My order did not arrive. Now what?

That stinks. Let us help. Email us from our website with your order number and we will get back to you within 24 hours with your order's whereabouts.

Do you ship to P.O. boxes?

No. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, but you could cash in that favor and have your order shipped to a friend, family member or neighbor.

Returns and Exchanges

What is your return policy?

You are welcome to return your unwashed and unworn items within 30-days of the package delivery date for a full refund of the original form of payment or 60-days of the package delivery date to receive a State of Matter credit.  There are no returns or refunds on Final Sale items which are those items purchased as “Final Sale” on the website. Can I return a damaged item?

We handle these situations on a case-by-case basis, but we stand behind the quality of each and every one of our products. If for some reason the quality of the product you purchased does not meet your expectations we will take it back. Our apparel is built to last and is crafted to a high standard; however, we will not accept returns of items worn beyond practical use. To issue a quality-concern return, email customerservice@stateofmatterapparel.com. We typically ask about the damage and appreciate a photo of the damage. If it is clearly damaged from the shipping process, keep the item in the packaging and reach out to us.

What is the 366 Quality Pledge?

All State of Matter apparel products are covered under a limited 366 day warranty (we’re even giving you that leap year day just in case!!).  State of Matter warrants its products against manufacturing defects; this does not include damages that have resulted from misuse of the product or normal wear and tear. Any merchandise replaced under this warranty will be covered for another 366 days. Do you offer exchanges?

We currently do not accept exchanges but we are in the process of exploring a solution. We will inform all of our customers and shoppers when this service is available.

What does your fabrics feel like?

There is only one way to get to the most comfortable sustainable fabrics. You gotta touch the stuff. We sweat the small stuff to deliver sustainable fabrics that we would actually want to wear. If it's not comfortable, you won't wear it, making the sustainable aspect a non-starter, so we think you will find our fabrics soft to the touch and inconceivably comfortable.

Is State of Matter really environmentally sustainable?

Yes, but the better answer is located on our Sustainability Story page. Check it out and feel good about wearing State of Matter.

How do I choose the right size?

Our sizes are generally true to fit. If you wear a large in other brands, the State of Matter large should fit you very well. If you want to be sure, you can click here to view our fit guide which provides the measurements of each of our sizes. We find that the sleeve length, neck, and chest best determine how the shirt will fit.

How do I create an account?

If you purchase an item from our site an account will automatically be created for you. You can login into the account any time you return to our site for quicker checkout.

How do I change my shipping address?

Login to your account. Click "edit address" and change the information as necessary.

Do you share my personal information with other companies?

You can click here to read our privacy policy, but the short answer is we follow all federal and state policies regarding the collection and sharing of your personal data. In our Privacy Policy you can learn how we collect, use and share information about you when you access or use our website, other online or mobile services or applications, when you make purchases through our sites, or otherwise interact with us.

Do I need to create an account to make a purchase?

You may "check out as a guest" when you proceed from your cart to checkout. This allows you to transact without creating an account and none of your information will be saved.
